Day 20 – Forestry
April 15, 2016
Psalm 1:3 (NKJV) He shall be like a tree, Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
PRAYER: Father, we thank You for the abundant forests of Tillamook County. Lord, we ask that our forests would stand during the storms of life, and that You would protect us from the ravages of fire. You have placed us in a spot where trees grow faster and better than just about any place in the world. We rejoice in Your provision and gift. Help our public and private foresters be excellent stewards of our forests, managing them in a way that will supply for the abundant needs of our world and future generations. We ask for Your hand of blessing upon our mills, and their ability to get timber, and a strong market that supplies jobs to our people. We pray for excellent leaders and laborers for every aspect, from planting to harvest, milling to distribution. We pray for a spirit of excellence to be upon our wood products and that they would be in high demand because of their quality. We also pray for:
- Healing of our land – Swiss Needle Cast, strengthen the immunity of our forest
- Strong domestic and foreign markets
- Meaningless regulations which, limit the ability to function effectively, would be reduced.
- Mills would have the ability to find markets for products in midst of recession. Excellence in Tillamook products
- Protection for loggers and mill workers.
- Let resources from afar be poured into our communities.
