PRAYER: Dear Lord God Almighty,

It is such a relief to know that there is hope, there is victory over temptations and even over the bondages that have enslaved so many when temptations are yielded to. No matter what the drug of choice has been… alcohol, tobacco, legal or illegal substances, gambling, sexual experiences, pornography, computer gaming, etc., all are designed to provide an experience of pleasure and deaden pain, but only last for a moment. We would ask first Lord for the deception to be revealed. Open the eyes of hearts and minds to see clearly that what the enemy promises is a lie… freedom promised results in slavery. And the slavery of addictions leads only to death, whether it be of body, soul or spirit. Then dear Lord, we ask that the truth of who You are and the power You possess to be realized, to know Your love and compassion as opposed to the lies of accusation, self-hatred and destruction of the deceiver. And then to take that step of trusting You, no matter how hard or how long it takes, knowing that You are always faithful to fulfill what You have promised. Provide the support needed to see true transformation of lives redeemed, forgiven, cleansed, renewed, and restored.

*Father, thank you for Your word of encouragement to me. You have set me free and whom Jesus sets free is FREE! That includes me! Thank you for setting me free from past sins, bondages and brokenness. I am free to make healthy choices, standing firm with You on Your word. I refuse to allow myself to be weighed down and entrapped by a yoke of slavery. Thank you, Father, for making a way for everyone to have victory in You. I am a new creation. The old life has passed away and a new life awaits. Renew a right spirit within me and speak to my heart. Protect me and keep me from stumbling. Fill me with the fruits of Your Holy Spirit which include love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control! In Jesus Name! Amen

I pray for those whom I know who are struggling with addictions__________ (name them). I pray this would be a year of revelation and breakthrough for them. How would you like me to pray for them?_____ (Listen and obey!)

We pray that You would:

  • Refresh and encourage the encouragers,
  • Bring in the leaders and the workers for Celebrate Recovery,
  • Equip and strengthen and heal the Families of those dealing with addictions,
  • Strengthen and equip the Rehab workers with perseverance and divine help to guide people into healing.
  • Give wisdom, insight, stamina and courage to keep on. And may all the hard work, tears and trials result in triumphant victories of lives changed, and praise be to You, God of “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

In Jesus Name we pray, Amen
