Day 9 – Entrapments of the Age

John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Acts 17:10-12 Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. (11) These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. (12) Therefore many of them believed, and also not a few of the Greeks, prominent women as well as men.

PRAYER: O Lord, our God, how great Thou art! When we look around us today we see many counterfeits, impostors, and deceivers, all designed to destroy Your people and plan. Yet we know You are greater! Help us keep our eyes on You, then we can see the deceptions clearly for what they are. Expose the New Age Spirituality and Wiccan ideologies and all other false religions set up in opposition to Truth. Cause us to have a greater hunger and thirst for You and Your Word which alone can satisfy. May we be diligent like the Bereans and full of grace and truth like Jesus. You have equipped and empowered us with a whole arsenal; help us use it wisely and diligently, not shrinking back or losing ground. Your TRUTH prepares us for what is to come, Your RIGHTEOUSNESS envelopes us with protection, Your GOSPEL OF PEACE is that upon which we stand, our FAITH is a protective shield, Your SALVATION guards our minds, Your Word is our weapon when activated by Your Spirit, and PRAYER our engagement in the battle. Lord, keep us alert and persevering that Your Word will go forth and prevail.
*Lord God, I ask that You would expose the lies, the subtle schemes of the enemy that have crept into my life. __________(Listen and obey!) Forgive me for participation in anything of the darkness; search my heart for any deception. Cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Do this also for the Church. We thank You and praise You, in the name of Jesus our Lord, Amen.
