Day 25 – The Court System

April 20, 2016

Leviticus 19:15  ‘You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty. In righteousness you shall judge your neighbor.

Exodus 23:7  Keep yourself far from a false matter; do not kill the innocent and righteous. For I will not justify the wicked.

Deuteronomy 25:1  “If there is a dispute between men, and they come to court, that the judges may judge them, and they justify the righteous and condemn the wicked,

Judges 2:18  And when the Lord raised up judges for them, the Lord was with the judge and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for the Lord was moved to pity by their groaning because of those who oppressed them and harassed them.

1 Kings 3:9  Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?”

Exodus 18:16, Deuteronomy 1:16, Deuteronomy 16:18 Ezra 7:25

PRAYER:  Lord, we lift up the District Attorney’s Office, all our courts, the Juries, the Judges and all those who work to bring justice to our people. We ask for divine wisdom and discernment for those who preside over court cases. We pray each person would recognize truth, and abhor evil. We pray for righteous judgments and decrees that will be appropriate and well timed. Father, we pray protection over our courts from corruption and “Political Correctness” and ask that our Constitution and Your Word would be upheld and that Fear of the Lord would be upon us as a people as we seek to do the right thing. Guide us with Your wisdom and discernment, Lord!
