50 Days of Prayer

Day 16 – Workers

April 11, 2016

Colossians 3:22-25  Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eye service, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God. (23) And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, (24) knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. (25) But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality.

Ephesians 5:6-9

PRAYER:  Thank You, Lord for jobs that are available to the people of Tillamook County. Thank You that You have given people a mind to work! Fill the workers with an enthusiastic zeal to work with excellence and motivation to serve their employers with gladness. Let all the labor be done with quality, efficiency and honesty. Help our workers give a fair day of work for a fair day of pay! We pray for punctuality, good work habits. Let each worker take pride in doing a good job. We ask for “team effort” and that the work force would be in unity. Melt away pettiness and backbiting in the work place, and let each esteem the others more highly than himself. Let their conduct be decent and in order. Let the supervisors train each employee to the point they succeed. Give great creativity in problem solving. We pray for justice within the work place and opportunity for advancement based on the merits of skill and experience. Guide our employers and supervisors to be excellent, discerning and encouraging leaders.

We pray for new jobs to open up that would allow everyone who wants to work an opportunity to support themselves. Lord, we pray for divine appointments for those who are needing jobs and the employers seeking workers well-suited to their jobs. In Jesus name, Amen.

Lord, we lift up the workers of Tillamook County and ask that You would continue to bless and fill them with:

  • Zeal to complete their assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Great communication skills and let their yes be yes, and their no be no.
  • Perseverance in love, striving for shared goals.
  • Joy to bless their co-workers and supervisors and to honor and respect authority.
  • A heart that flees from anything that would be a detriment to themselves or their work environment.
  • A spirit of honesty, truth and commitment.
