Day 6 – Pastors and Leaders

Ephesians 6:18-20  …praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— (19) and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, (20) for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Colossians 4:2-4  Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; (3) meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains, (4) that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.

1 Thessalonians 5:11-22

PRAYER  Father God, we lift up all the saints in service in Your Kingdom, especially those who labor in the preaching and teaching of Your Word. May all those committed to serve You in leadership roles in Your church be empowered by Your Holy Spirit to speak with boldness the truths of Your Gospel. Grant them clarity of mind and purity of heart to speak the truth in love, without reservation. May we, as Your people, find practical ways to demonstrate our love and support so that we may live in peace and Your Word be demonstrated in power.

*Lord, I pray for my pastor, ____________, the Elders_________ and all the leaders who teach and minister to me. I thank You for each one of them. Help me to lift them up to You in prayer, and bless them in their ministry, their homes, and give them God -inspired ability to serve. Lord, speak to my heart to know how to encourage and serve our leaders. ______(Listen and obey!) Through Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.
